Mastermind behind New Education Policy 2020 for implementing Hindi in all states of India

The central government has announced that the new education policy 2020 will replace the existing 10+2 structure by 5+3+3+4 structure. The structure corresponds to the age groups as follow: 3 to 8 years, 8 to 11 years, 11 to 14 years and 14 to 18 years. This policy states that the school examinations will be only be held in classes 3,5 and 8, and the other classes will be assessed by the school authorities. For 10 and 12th classes, as usual, public exams will be conducted.

The government has said till class 5, the medium of instruction will be the mother tongue or local language and this is most appreciable, but the private schools cannot depend on this medium of instruction, and they can implement the local language as their medium of instruction in private school up to the effect they want as per the NEP 2020. In most private schools, the medium of instruction is English. But I suggest that after class 5, the medium of instruction should be in English if not, the students will struggle to understand the classes in their higher education.

Next, the three-language formula, the new education policy (NEP) recommends all students to learn three languages in their school, at least two of the three languages should be native to India. In this, the secret recipe of the Hindi dominant ideology has hidden. In the draft NEP released last year, a paragraph suggested that under the three-language formula, Hindi will be mandatory in those states where the language is not usually spoken. Following the protest by non-Hindi speaking states like Tamilnadu, the central government had dropped the reference to mandatory learning of Hindi.

The mastermind behind the Hindi dominant group is that if the three-language formula is implemented in all the states of India, in the three language - the two languages will be English and local language of that state, but there will arise a confusion among students that what I want to choose a third language? In many states, there is less or no teacher for other state languages except the Hindi language. Moreover, the students will think that Hindi is one of the official languages in India and more than 3 states are having Hindi as their state language and they will automatically choose Hindi as their third language. Even the schools have the benefit of appointing only Hindi teacher for financial reasons and avoiding appointment to other language teachers, the management will force the students to take Hindi as their third language.

There will be adequate Hindi teacher in all state, but not for other languages. So indirectly their strategy to implement Hindi in all states will be succeeded. So we want to oppose this three-language formula and implement two language formula that is English and their respective state local language.

All non - Hindi speaking state leaders should oppose this three-language formula, unitedly. Because we missed to oppose unitedly as one India for NEET and now the NEET is implemented. Likewise, this should not happen in this new education policy - 2020. We should want to know the mastermind behind the New Education Policy for implementing Hindi all over India. Unite as Indian and vote for change. This is my opinion about the three-language formula in NEP - 2020. Please give your valuable opinion if I am wrong. Thanks for reading this post.
